BEERFEST
1994 - Present
Founded in 1994 by James Hallik in Fred Radulic's back yard, it was initially named the Backyard Beerfest Wiffleball Tournament. The name changed to Wifflefest in 2000, as was the location in 1998. Once "Radulic Yards" was sold, the Fest was moved to the Knoll Park, and has also been played at Smith Field. It was a small tournament in 1994, and that has built up to a high of 29 teams in 2005, with all the proceeds being donated to the American Legion Baseball Team every year. The last two years we have seen a major decline in teams, so the Commish has moved it back to the backyard. Now BEERFEST, it is a invite only at it's new home, HALLIK GROUNDS. In 2011 there was NO COST for the best BBQ and Wiffle of the year. We had kegs, food, Bouncy House for the kids, and a great day of wiffle like it is supposed to be. So if you are solid to the Commish, maybe you will get a personal invite to the event in 2012.
